Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold (a veces escrito A7X y, traducido al español, Vengado siete veces) es una banda de metal estadounidense formada en 1999 Huntington Beach, California. Sus integrantes son M. Shadows (voz y teclado), Zacky Vengeance (guitarra rítmica y coros), Synyster Gates(guitarra líder y coros), Johnny Christ (bajo y coros) y Arin Ilejay (batería). Anteriormente el puesto de baterista fue ocupado por The Rev hasta su temprana muerte en diciembre del 2009 y por Mike Portnoy (quien entró precisamente para sustituir a este último tras su muerte) hasta su salida en diciembre de 2010. Avenged Sevenfold comenzó como una banda de metalcore melódico, llegando a grabar dos álbumes, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet en 2001 y Waking The Fallen en 2003. Pero con el lanzamiento de su primer gran éxito City of Evil en 2005, evolucionó hacia un sonido más cercano al hard rock, el heavy metal y el metal alternativo, ahondando más en el virtuosismo musical.
